The Côte Bleue

Do you know the Côte Bleue ? 🌊
This wild coast owes its name to the color of its waters. It stretches from l’Estaque in Marseille to Martigues and the mouth of the Caronte canal, which flows into the Etang de Berre. It is the maritime border of the charming communes of Le Rove, Ensuès-la-Redonne, Sausset-les-Pins, Carry-le-Rouet and Martigues.

A rich territory characterized by a preserved natural environment that gives it tremendous charm! Small harbors, pine forests, beaches and coves follow one another, offering postcard-worthy landscapes! But what we also love is its authenticity. Far from the bling bling of the Côte d’Azur, the Côte Bleue smells of the Provence of yesteryear. Its small villages have preserved their simplicity and traditions, and have not succumbed to mass tourism. A real pleasure!

You can enjoy a wide range of activities and leisure activities for the whole family, all year round: on the sea side, on the land side, on the cultural side, numerous services and events are organized in the different communes of the côte bleue, making it a dynamic and attractive territory.

You can find a non-exhaustive list of activities here, and don’t hesitate to visit the Martigues tourist office website to find out about local events when you come.
