Calanques National Park
The Parc National des Calanques has been listed since 2012. Located between Marseille, France’s 2nd largest city, and La Ciotat, this park is made up of 5,000 hectares of landscapes as sublime as they are exotic, and stretches over 20 kilometers of coastline. 🌊🍃
A land, sea, island and peri-urban territory, the Parc des Calanques is one of a kind. Here, no fewer than 80 bird species, 900 plant species, 60 heritage marine species and magnificent reptiles live side by side. An exceptional biodiversity that the park aims to protect.
Access to certain areas of this little paradise is therefore limited in order to regulate visitor numbers. Prior reservation is required. But if you plan ahead, you’ll be able to stroll around and enjoy a unique moment in the calanques! 🤩
The hardest part will undoubtedly be choosing your destination!
From inland via Marseille, Cassis, La Ciotat, or by sea to reach the Frioul islands and admire the seabed, your journey will be unforgettable and promises an extraordinary experience close to the Les Tamaris campsite! Watch out!
A wide range of activities is also available to spice up your outing. From the classic but no less sublime walk or hike, to mountain biking or rock climbing, not forgetting scuba diving, everyone can experience the calanques in their own way, but you’re sure to leave with plenty of memories!
Boat trips are also available, allowing you to discover a wide area in a limited time.
